Trinh Nguyen

Dr. Tuyet Nguyen is the current owner of Zen Behavioral Health Clinic. She is a board certified Adult Geriatric Primary Care and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 10 years of working experience in the field. She has a patient-centered approach to treatment and strongly believes in treating a person as a whole. Being an immigrant, Dr. Nguyen understands the importance of culture and diversity and how they impact the delivery of care.  She is bilingual and is proficient in both English and Vietnamese. She is compassionate and empathetic with her patients in helping them achieve wellness.

She has a unique ability to easily earn and maintain the trust of her coworkers and patients alike due to her honesty, integrity and friendly demeanor. She fully dedicates herself to all that she does, and sets high standards for the quality of care she delivers.

Education and experience

Dr. Nguyen holds 2 Bachelor Degrees, 2 Master Degrees, a Doctorate of Nursing Practice and a Post-Master's Psychiatric/Mental Health Certification. She has worked in various healthcare settings ranging from inpatient hospitals, rehabilitation settings, corporate offices, outpatient facilities and private practices. Through her work experiences she took a special interest in working with patients struggling with acute, chronic and complex mental health disorders. She has provided care to patients having issues with every day stressors to patients with problems such as addiction disorders, PTSD from witnessing traumatic events, and other serious mental health disorders. 

She does not believe in the concept of a "magic pill" and never leaves patients feeling like “guinea pigs”. Her practice philosophy is the belief that the best form of treatment for mental health disorders is a combination of psychopharmacology and therapy. Dr. Nguyen is familiar with treating a variety of disorders including schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, grief, and adjustment disorders (to name a few). Dr. Nguyen is also a certified Buprenorphine prescriber.
